The FinePix S8630 bridge camera features a powerful 36x FUJINON zoom lens, a high-quality 16MP sensor and a host of creative features wrapped up in a pocket-friendly body. The S8630's newly developed three-step collapsible lens automatically retracts when not in use to leave a seriously compact body. A highly versatile lens means you're covered whether the subject is wide-angle landscapes or highly magnified action. The S8630 even has a Super Macro. Backing the lens up at every turn is FUJIFILM's sensor-shift Optical Image Stabilization system to combat any trace of blur in pictures. The S6830 also boasts autofocus times up to 0.4 second, a start-up time of 1.7 seconds and a shooting interval of just 1.3 seconds for rapid-fire, responsive and hassle-free photography. Fans of shooting video won't be disappointed. Fujifilm Finepix S8630 Camera Bundle 36X Wide-Angle Optical Zoom 16 MP 3.0
- Ordered it, packed very well, shipped Priority, but I couldn\'t get the darned battery compartment open, so I contacted the seller, & we agreed I needed to send it back & they\'d try to figure out what was going on. Got an e-mail, they said there was nothing wrong, & they opened compartment easily. Hmm.Well, not the 1st time I felt pretty inept, won\'t be the last.So I got the camera back again, & we finally figured out how to open the battery door.YAY!This is an important issue for any digital camera, of course, especially a camera like this one, where the access is not just for the batteries, but also for the all-important SDcard. After all this, I have to say, the seller is very good, (even if there is a problem with their e-mail of some kind). Helpful & friendly. This camera is just what I was looking for. Price was good, the camera has all the stuff I wanted, (maybe does even MORE than I expected). Best of all, it takes great pictures. It\'s a little heavy, but I don\'t take pictures for hours & hours, so who cares? I especially appreciate the fact that it uses AA batteries, not some weird one I have to mail away for & then wait for days. That was a huge factor for me when I started looking for a newer digital camera....batteries.Don\'t get much done without them, hey.All in all, an interesting experience & I really like my new-to-me camera.BTW, a headsup for anyone looking for this camera.....I printed out the owner\'s manual. That thing is over 120 pages long! Allow for ink usage before you start....Good luck!
- Have only had camera a short period of time. Not really able to say with a lot of certainly how I feel. But in a short time, I like the camera. The zoom and pixels along with having 2 previous Fuji cameras are main reasons for purchasing this camera. So far the pictures and HD video have been excellent. The batteries provided were used up quickly but I doubt if those were real good batteries anyway. I have Sanyo rechargeable ones in at the moment to test how long they will last. Only noticeable issue is the sound of the zoom motor, seems to be a little loud with does show up on video. The camera takes 720HD video and does look very nice. You do have to order a separate mini USB cable and if you want to use a AC power adapter you have to have their power and a separate DC Coupler(couple of looking batteries wrapped in tape with a cable to attach to the power adapter). They can be purchased on line if you don\'t already have. I plugged the camera into my TV and pictures looked real nice(use the mini USB cable). Overall in a short time, very happy with the camera. But need more time to really try all the settings.
- One of the last digital cameras with AAA batteries instead of rechargeable battery pack. It is a 1000x easier for our field team to install new batteries vs. recharging battery packs. Batteries are portable and they can be easily exchanged in the field. No downtown on multiple projects. We have ordered four (4) of these units over the years. Harder and harder to find. Retractable lens does stick if you drop the camera on hard surfaces. This caused two of our replacements.
- Just returned from an 11 day cruise, including the Panama Canal. This was my first use of the camera. With a steady hand, I got photos of off-shore oil rigs in Aruba, sloths in trees in Costa Rico and coastal areas of Cuba. Yes, 36X pictures should probably be shot from a tripod. However, don\'t listen to those who constantly complain the everything wasn\'t exactly perfect and their pictures were out of focus at that magnification. Nothing is perfect. For $200.00 this is a great point and shot telephoto camera. I\'ve got nearly 700 photos, from my first use, to back that up.
- I adore this camera. I received it as a birthday gift from my husband. My requests for what I wanted in a camera seemed simple to me, but were apparently difficult to find!I love macro photography, and also wanted to be able to take video. Optical zoom is important to me as well. This camera takes wonderful photos with a lot of depth, and it also captures raindrops astoundingly. (One of my favorite things!) It is also extremely portable, and no bulk to the case. I\'m able to carry it with me everywhere, even in my purse, and I don\'t have to worry about switching out lenses.
- Here is description when I ordered:\"This Certified Refurbished product is tested and certified to look and work like new. The refurbishing process includes functionality testing, basic cleaning, inspection, and repackaging. The product ships with all relevant accessories, a minimum 90-day warranty, and may arrive in a generic box.\"Here is what arrived:Camera and strap. Not even a lens cap! Shipping was about 10.00 to me (not refunded). Shipping was over 15.00 back. (not refunded) So it cost about 25 dollars to find out that this purchase is not as advertised.Lucky I even got a camera.
- Used very little so far, but was surprised to learn you can\'t take pictures without first going and buying a memory card before any pictures. Now just need time to get used to it.
- Works ok.. slow speed when taking pictures. Expected it to work as fast as my Iphone but it is slower
