The camera does have a bit of heft to it but was no problem for me when taking pictures. A good sturdy tripod is recommended for taking some impressive shots of the moon and objects off in the distance

Pixibytes sold me a grey market Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera.I now know that Pixibytes Is NOT an authorized Nikon seller and that Nikon will not repair any grey market products.Nikon provided that information in a response to me when I sent the camera in for repair.So, a new $1000 camera that I can not get repaired! Pixibytes will NOT address the problem. Calls to their Support line only waste time. Attempts to escalate the call to a Pixibytes supervisor DO NOT work because for almost a month and a dozen calls a supervisor is NOT AVAILABLE and NEVER called back.
Zoom on this is amazing I saw i Redmoon and it was amazing

Listed Manufacturer says Pixibytes. The listing link for Warranty goes to page stating by Amazon to contact Manufacturer. I called Pixibytes and there is No Warranty on the almost $1000 item. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM AS THEY DON\'T PROVIDE SERVICE AND WHEN YOU CALL THEM THEY KNOW NOTHING.
Great product. My husband absolutely loves his new camera. The down side to this is the accessories. Definitely be prepared to have to replace the tripod at the least! Other than that the actual camera is perfect!
