- It survived my vacation, the pics are acceptable. We took it snorkeling in salt water and it held up. It gives an SD card error every now and then, need to shut it off and back on the clear it. The screen and controls on it are useless. The door to the card and battery can be a pain to open. Overall it worked, if I get two or three beach vacations out of it then it was money well spent.

Some complained about the compartment being hard to open, I did not find this overly difficult at all. I am not interested in the waterproof phone pouches I\'ve seen at all. I would definitely be the one to drop my phone to the bottom of the ocean. Also I normally don\'t buy warranties but Amazon offers a 3 year warranty for around $7 that really covers just about everything. I am accident prone when it comes to electronics. - I bought 3 of these little cameras - one for each of us on a snorkeling trip. It was great to tote around a relatively inexpensive camera that I didn\'t have to worry about breaking or having it stolen. I used it for all pics for this vacation, not just the beach pics. The pics didn\'t look so great when I viewed them on the camera itself, but it is a different story now that they are downloaded on my computer. I am impressed with the color and clarity. Pretty good little camera for a reasonable price. Great for kids.
- I bought this camera for a cruise to the Caribbean. I didn\'t want to worry about using a waterproof case for my cell phone. This really did the trick! Takes beautiful underwater video and pictures. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Battery life was great, as well. Very easy to use. My only negative, is that the buttons are tiny and are hard to see. Overall, I would definitely recommend!
- there is a blurry line across the viewing area on this camera. At first I thought I forgot to take some plastic off. No such luck. This makes this camera worthless to me.Up date. No blurry line once I take off sunglasses. Weird but not a camera failure. I changed the review to a 5. it’s easy to operated and compact and waterproof. What’s not to like?
