  • I have only used the camera a few times. So far, it is easy to use and takes good photos. I have always been a big fan and Kodak customer.
  • My 12-year-old desperately wanted a camera for Christmas that she could photograph wildlife with. This did the trick. It is very easy to use, substantial to feel, and great for a novice photographer. Be warned that it does not come with a memory card so you will have to buy one separately. I found that annoying. Overall, it\'s a good camera for a very reasonable price.
  • I was looking for a camera to get some reference photos for painting, and this camera is perfect. It\'s big enough for me to get a hold of, but small enough not to be in the way. And I am happy with the price. I\'m still practicing with it, but the photos I shared give you an example of what it can do. I was across the water, a fairly wide stream, from the egret and across the park and walkway from the Robin. And I make no claim to be a photographer!
  • Muy bonita.. y práctica
  • This camera is cute. It has a classic Kodak design that catches the eyes of the people around you. However, its design isn\'t the only classic part about this camera. Its picture and video qualities are also reminiscent of the late 1990s - early 2000s. This would be a great toy of your kids, but it will not replace your phone camera at all - not even close.
  • I am an experienced filmmaker and own numerous cameras for film and photography and typically like Kodak products. The KODAK PIXPRO Astro Zoom AZ255-BK is not a bad choice for an inexpensive consumer camera, specifically for travel and if your concerned about theft and loss and the cost of replacement.I liked the vivid and crisp images and overall quality for photography, however I was disappointed by the high-pitched whine of the lens when focusing using the video camera. The instruction manual did not suggest this could be adjusted in the sound or menu so I have to assume the defect is in the design. The camera did not appear to be defective otherwise.Bottom line: If you\'re looking for a inexpensive camera for photography and don\'t care about the focus whine while using the video camera than this could be the right choice for you.
  • One of the joys of photography when I was a kid was using an SLR camera with various lenses and film speeds to come out with some really interesting shots that I could call my own. Then there was the dark room where you would develop the film and print photos. This I wasn\'t so hot about. It was messy and expensive. Programmes like Photoshop have replaced the dark room, and you can get the photo blown up as a poster at drug stores for a reasonable price. That leaves the camera. If you haven\'t noticed, the ordinary camera has died. It\'s been replaced by smartphones that do a pretty good job of point-and-shoot. Sometimes it decides what\'s best for you, and you have struggled to get it done your way. But for the average guy... that\'s all you need. For the really good shots, the SLR has become a digitalized version with the same terminology. ISO film speeds, aperture, f stops, shutter speed, all this stuff. But they are not cheap. This Kodac camera is in a class called a bridge camera. It fills the gap between a fully automatic smartphone and high-end cameras where you can do anything your heart desires. This camera frees your creative nature in photography at a very reasonable price. The camera is manufactured by a Chinese company which has been in the photo business for some time. You may recognize the body of the camera. In any event, it is manufactured for Kodac. One good thing about it is the manual. It\'s written in good English with diagrams that make sense. And it hits every feature on the camera. This leads me to the next topic. There are a lot of bells and whistles, and although they tried to cut down the number of buttons and selector switches with dual or triple functions, it is a complex camera and will have a learning curve you have to accept. I recommend starting with the basics, then picking a topic from the manual and working it to become second nature. The trick is to make the navigation to that feature second nature. One night, I sat down with the camera and the manual and checked it all out. The manual explained every feature, and the camera did exactly what it was supposed to do. A word on the camera\'s manual. You have to download it. The download link is in the Amazon ad. Keep scrolling down until you hit the customer reviews. It\'s just above that. You can view it without downloading it. I recommend going through it before you buy. It will answer all the questions you have.Once you\'ve done that, get a photography book on composition. Here, it would be easy to apply the techniques to the camera and try it out.If you\'re into photography and want to make it a hobby with results you would be proud to show off, this is a good camera to start off with. And the bonus is that you will be a better photographer putting a smartphone camera to use better. For the price, I highly recommend it.
  • I’m an absolute novice when it comes to photography and my way around a digital camera. But I am surprised by the quality based on this cameras price. I plan on attaching lenses once I get the hang of this. It’s very light, but a bit small in my hands. There’s TONS of settings and filters for whatever the need may be. As a beginner I don’t feel too overwhelmed by the features. Very satisfied order.
