Panasonic GH5 Lumix 4K Mirrorless, 20.3 MP, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth,3.2 LCD w/Sony 64GB SF-G Series UHS-II & Hard Case Bundle
- I am posting a 5 star for the time being.I purchased my GH5 in July of 2017 and was very satisfied with the complete delivery of my purchase. I have been pleased with the product itself, until now. After about 6 months, I noticed that the touch screen was no longer working. Not a major setback because I was still able to use the joystick for selective focus. However, today, I was on a shoot and the screen would not light up at all. I tried all the troubleshoots to no avail. Once I got home, I tried the camera with an external monitor and sure enough it worked.I realize that this is probably an isolated case but it is an opportunity for Panasonic to stand behind their product. I have contacted both the company who sold the camera (through Amazon) and Panasonic and am awaiting response. Will update as soon as I received word.UPDATE: Apparently my camera was dropped which caused the LCD screen to slowly and systematically fail. Sent my unit in about 3 weeks ago. Just received my repaired camera back from Panasonic and everything works great- they even updated the firmware to V23. I had heard a few bad reports about Panasonic\'s poor customer service but that was NOT my experience. The communication was good, representatives were friendly, the repair was done in a very acceptable time table and they sent me a loaner GH5 for free while my unit was being repaired. Highly recommend the camera and the company behind it.
- The media could not be loaded. The Panasonic GH5 is a solid camera for the money, and to get started you need extra batteries, an SD card that can write 300Mb/s, and a lens. Well I already had a lens, focus camera took care of the rest. SD cards capable of the full 400Mbps 4K recording aren’t cheap and it’s an amazing value that focus camera gives you one for free, a $120 value. Overall got about $200 extra in accessories for the price of buying only the camera body on B&H or another seller.PROS:Focus Camera is an authorized dealer, Panasonic 3 year extended warranty offer is valid with them. Go online and register with Panasonic within 60 days of purchase.Included Sony SD Card records full GH5 4K and HDR, no problems.Included Newer batteries work great, 80% if the life of OEM Panasonic GH5 battery. 3 batteries and a 64 GB SD Card let’s you shoot video all day and video for a week!!Includes hard case, plastic construction. Lightweight protection.CONSIncluded Monoprice case is a little cheap and flimsy, but will no doubt still protect your camera better than a soft case. Not anywhere close to a pelican case in quality.
- This camera is the whole package if you\'re looking to do video and photography at the same time. After doing a lot of research I found it to be the best package for this camera to be the best price point and value that you can get online. My company needed a camera upgraded, didn\'t need to break the bank too much but still needed 4K quality in this camera fit the bill all the way across the board. Being able to shoot 4K 10bit is amazing on a camera of this size with this price. Nothing but good things to say about this camera at this point. We have already shot several projects with this camera and plan on purchasing another one and starting a movie and we\'re very happy with this purchase. The memory card is Fast and dependable for this camera, which is very important for this camera and being able to capture the high quality video and pictures that it puts out. Worth every penny.
- Long time gh4 user here. Finally got this one once I realized how useful the IB stabilization would be for my manual cinema lenses. (I shoot weddings)Also, 4k 60p is gorgeous, even though I\'m always downscaling to 1080 for delivery. 4k downscaled looks better than 1080 native. It just does. This particular package is worth it because of the sweet, sweet Sony SD card. The two other batteries are also great, once I got over my fear of using 3rd party batteries. For fun, I\'ll also include that I\'ve switched to shooting in \"standard\" profile for the majority of my shooting. This comes after years of exploring cine d, portrait, vlogL, etc. Basically, Panasonic really knows what they are doing, and I\'ve learned to trust their native, default settings for the most part. (Of course, alterations will be made here and there...I\'m just saying, instead of shooting automatically with tons of picture profile alterations, I start with standard default, and go from there. I\'ve been a happier person for it
- I absolutely love my GH5 - the quality is incredible and just the fact that I can shoot 60 FPS in 4K is undeniably a stand-out feature. Sure... Canon and Sony users will debate the merits of the micro 4/3 system, but honestly, this camera beats the $%#@ outta any Sony or Canon under $2,500. And even still beats out some higher-priced ones in many ways... Want to put Canon glass on a GH5? No problem. Just get a speed booster and you\'re good to go. Get off the fence and buy this dang camera. Unless you are just starting out - then maybe look at the G7 or G85 first - just to save you some money, cuz they be some good cameras too... but no, just get this. it\'s too good. get it. GET IT!
- Showed up on time and everything was packed well. I’ve now purchased several things from Focus Camera to support a small production I’m working on and always rest easy that the equipment, normally ordered days before it’s needed on set, will get there in time and intact.About the GH5, I’m in love with this camera. It’s not what I’d pick if I were still doing predominately still shooting but now that I’ve crossed into mainly videography it can’t be beat. For low budget, multi cam projects it’s amazing. The picture quality is phenomenal and being able to remotely monitor your camera with old/used iPhones is a huge benefit. It’s also a LOT easer to edit very long takes when you can shoot without having to stop every 20 minutes.
