• This was a nice camera but we ultimately ended up returning it.We chose this camera to take nicer photos than our phones without having to lug around a massive DSLR everywhere with us. We did our research and this topped the charts. We tried the camera out for two weeks in a variety of settings - indoor, outdoor, night, distance, etc. I wished that it would zoom in more with the lens it came with but when we saw the photos on the computer you could zoom in all the way on the photo and still have a very clear image, so the zoom was in post processing. I also really didn’t like not having a viewfinder, though it didn’t bother my husband. He played a lot with the settings and seemed to hone in on what he was doing in less than a week of using it.Ultimately what made us return the camera was this - my husband often chose not to bring it with him when we would leave to see stuff, because he could take photos with his phone that were good enough. If we were going somewhere and he had a backpack on, he’d bring the camera and use it. But if it was just wallet, keys, and phone, he wouldn’t grab the camera, even in a small carrying case. So it didn’t make sense for us. It is a great camera, easy to use, but we ended up choosing not to use it a lot of the time.Also the fujifilm photo transfer to your Phone was junk and I never got it to work. Glitchy app so I couldn’t post photos on social media. That was a big selling point for me and it was a bust.
• Still testing out my new camera. Trying to master the setting to optimize pictures. I purchased this before my trip to Europe next month. It is hard to write an objective view until you master all of the settings to take the best pictures you can. So far, I like the Fujifilm X-A5. I do have difficulties with macro settings, my previous camera captured macro shots easily with great details. To be fair, I have to read the manual again to make sure I know macro on this new camera. I do have difficulties with the Bluetooth/WiFi to transfer to my iPhone. I can get a few pictures transferred and then it looses the connection. Perhaps it is user error. Overall this is a good purchase. I am hoping to learn more on how to take even better pictures. I did not like the neck strap that was included. I opted to purchase a third party wrist strap.
• I bought this camera for our trip to Japan. It worked well. It\'s lightweight which was the most important for me, I didn\'t want to lug around a heavy camera. It was easy to use and took really nice quality photos. However I did have problems with it freezing several times, and would have to remove the battery and reinsert it to fix it which is why I removed one star from the review. The battery lasted all day long. I took over 2,000 photos and would recommend this camera for anyone looking for something other than just a cell phone to take their vacation photos.
• fun to shop for but not to own. no one will take you seriously as a photographer anyway, just use your phone!and subscribe to \" Discontented \" on YouTube. he taught me that you can return 90 percent of the stuff that you buy, and you still get to say you\'ve owned it.
• I love everything about this camera, from its ultra-light weight and cute look to the cool power zoom lens and sharp images, except for the lack of viewfinder. Whyyyy, why didn\'t they add the tiny little viewfinder that is so important for outdoor shootings? I bought this camera mainly for travel/landscape photos so viewfinder is a must. If you buy it mainly for everyday uses (i.e. family photos and indoor events), this camera is probably the best!
• Great little camera for people who want to move on from a point & shoot. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a viewfinder. You really need that in bright sun.
• I\'m actually a bit disappointed with this product, I initially bought it for vlogging purposes, but the video quality is not all that great, and the microphone quality is absolutely terrible. If you\'re going to use this camera for vlogging I suggest you get a separate microphone piece to attach to the camera. But I will not like the camera takes extremely good pictures, I would highly recommend this camera to any beginning photographer.
• I see a whole lot of mixed reviews here, but...it is a poor workman (photographer) who blames his tools. I enjoy mine for what it is, a good, light, camera with many excellent features. No, it isn\'t a Hasselblad, but it does what most people want it to do...take excellent photographs and not weigh a ton while doing it.
