- Love this camera. I’ve never took any photography but always had an eye for photography (aka I just always loved it) but was limited to my camera. I wanted a DSLR for years so finally pulled the trigger and I love it! I watched some YouTube videos and I’m really proud at how these came out. Manual mode is 100% the way to go. So learn that and you’ll be good! Also I use manual focus mode on the lenses instead of autofocus. (Image stabilizer off too). Good luck to everyone else starting their photography journey!
- tl;dr review. Worth every penny, this is my new favorite camera. If debating the T5 vs T7, buy the T7! This you will also want to have: extra battery, extra memory card, a larger camera bag, a good quality sturdy tripod(good quality tripods work the same with all cameras, so this is a 1 time purchase, don\'t cheap on the tripod).I love this camera. I worked as a freelance photography way back in the year 2000 and had a 4MP Olympus E10 that cost $1600 for the camera (and the equipped lens was not removable). So the price for this setup and gear that comes with it is just ideal. If you are looking for your first camera and are debating on buying the Rebel T7 or the Rebel T5 as I was...Spend the extra money for the T7. The T7 has a metal tripod mount. The T5 has a plastic tripod mount. and you will want a tripod, and you will not want a plastic threads for the tripod mount, so, go with the T7. The difference in quality and features far outweighs the difference in price. The monopod that comes with this kit is nice to have, but for that 500mm lens, you will want to eventually get a good sturdy tripod. AND you will want the threads on the bottom of the camera to be metal. I originally just wanted a camera to photograph my drawings and artwork for uploading online, but this camera made me fall in love with photography again. 58mm lens is plenty. I used 62mm before which is why I delayed my replacement because I didn\'t want to spent thousands on the accessories, but this camera kit had everything that I wanted. Wonderful photos. The T7 also allows you to remote control your camera with your phone, where the T5 does not. (Also the T5 does not support .raw format) I 100% would recommend this camera for intermediate photographers as well as beginners looking to become serious. The things I do not like about this kit: The camera bag is lacking, it doesn\'t have enough room to hold all of the accessories. I already had a larger camera bag, so was not an issue for me to swap over, but I recommend a larger bag. I also do not like that the bag included does not have a zip-closure as well as the latch. The memory card is only 32 GB, which is ok, but if you are out and about, you\'ll want more memory, especially taking .RAW format which are about 10-20MB each. I bought 2 more cards that are 128 GB ea., so... I would recommend also buying additional memory. Also, the camera comes with a battery and charger, but it would be nice to have had 2 batteries included. I purchased 2 more batteries with a dual charger, if you are outdoors photographing nature, you\'ll not be wanting to run out of batteries after a 45 minute hike up a mountain. As far as action-rapid frame photography, which is the difference between the Rebel T7 and T7i, this is not the type of photography I do, so I don\'t have comment on that, but I am absolutely delighted with this camera and this kit. With the exception of the camera bag. Also I just purchased a set of macro lenses and a 2x teleconverter to make that 500mm lens into a 1000mm lens, accessories for the 58mm lens will not break you. This is my new favorite camera I have ever owned and the kit has every accessory you need. Worth every penny.
- I love the camera, however, the attachment to attach the telephoto lens is a Vivatar T2-Nikon and does not work on the Canon camera. I talked to Amazon and they will not ship the one part that is incorrect in the bundle. They said I had to return the whole package and receive a refund and repurchase the package in order to get the $8.00 attachment or go to the manufacturer which is Canon to see about getting the right part. Getting the correct part should be easier than this.
- Great buying opportunity, everything in as came as advertised.
- I don\'t the first thing about cameras and within the first hour was taking perfect photos can\'t go wrong
- I took these pictures using the short range and telephoto lenses.
- I recently took a cruise and my friend loaned me his cannon camera and I took over 500 pictures with it. As soon as I got back on land I ordered this kit and I am having a blast with it. The picture quality is great, lenses are great. Everything anyone would need to get started with a very nice camera is in this kit.
- I have been wanting this bundle for a long long time and I was finally able to get it. Now this product is very easy to use for beginners and I did have to watch some videos on YouTube, but I learned a lot. Now I will say that the camera bag that is in this bundle is big enough to hold all of your accessories, except for the big lens and the mono tripod, and the camera itself is not too heavy bulky unless you do add on the big lens on the camera. I do have to say I did lose a little allen wrench that is supposed to be for the the big lens to mount to the camera with the little extra ring (can\'t remember what it\'s called at the moment) that comes with it so, if they would have been able to keep that all together would have been nice, I wouldn\'t have lost it cuz I did lose that right away. I am still learning how to do all of the functionalities on the camera as I am still fairly new to the DSLR cameras, but if you have experience with the DSLR, this is an awesome product. I do highly recommend getting this. It is a great price point for everything that you are getting in the bundle.
