• I bought this camera for a family cruise to the Caribbean. I loved my 8-year-old Canon PowerShot point-and-shoot, but I wanted higher quality photos of our trip without lugging around a huge DSLR. This camera fit the bill. It is relatively small and compact but has some nice features, including the ability to focus on an object or person and blur the background (my favorite option!). Plus, it is very easy to use; I took some great photos in my backyard when it was practically right out of the shipping box. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is one spot on the photos that doesn\'t seem to go away and that becomes more pronounced the more you zoom in. (Perhaps that\'s because it was open box.) Otherwise, it\'s a great camera that I\'d buy again.
