Canon EOS M6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera for Vlogging + 15-45mm Lens, CMOS, APS-C Sensor, Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus, Wi-Fi,Bluetooth and 4K Video
- I actually love the camera. I\'m no pro but tryna be. Have this, a beauty dish, flashes, but haven\'t created anything special enough to actually gain clients, I mean ZERO. So I wonder, is it my skills, am I hated that bad, can my luck just be worse than I thought, or is it my gear? Guess I\'ll never know.
- My wife has a Mirrorless Canon R series and she LOVES it. The main issue is that it\'s quite big and is not something you want to carry around everyday and it\'s expensive. I received a work bonus and decided to buy my wife this M6 Mark II. It\'s beautiful! There\'s something about the retro design and clicks that the camera makes that has you feeling like you\'re using a film camera. It\'s incredibly light and compact making it more of an everyday camera. This doesn\'t take away from the quality either. We shoot in RAW and it does great looking video.
- I’ve always wanted to try Canon but found myself cycling through just about every other major camera manufacturer on earth before finally getting around to the M6II. I was particularly interested to see how Canons color looked compared to my current other camera, a Sony A7III. I was not disappointed; in fact I’m quite enamored with the images I can get out of this little guy.The kit lens sucks, but it’s almost free when you buy the kit. Still, I replaced it almost immediately with two primes, the Canon 22 and 32mm, both of which are very good, especially the 32. The camera nestles comfortably in my hand, I really like the way it feels. It has a nice solid feel that’s reassuring. I bought and use the detachable viewfinder; it’s ok but feels like a peephole compared with what I’m used to on the Sony. Battery life is bearable but barely. I ALWAYS carry an extra because the camera battery gauge seems to go from full to empty without much warning. I don’t much care for the SD card slot; it’s right up against the battery so it’s not always easy to get in and out.I’ve set up the camera for back button and central single-shot focus, my preferred setting on all cameras. It took some digging around in the menus to figure this out, but I did and I’ve stored the setting in a memory setting. I’ve also arranged for the camera to lock exposure when half depressing the shutter button, another ‘always’ for me. Here I’ll lodge another quibble: it takes its time locking compared with other cameras. I’ll often move the camera off subject to find an area that yields the exposure I’m after, then move it back to take the shot but frequently I find that it hasn’t actually performed the lock and have to repeat the process. It shouldn’t be such a laggard that way.No camera is perfect, there isn’t one I’ve had at least a few complaints about, but despite my complaints this one is a keeper - for now. I like the feel of it in hand and I’m really pleased with the images. If I have a worry it’s that Canon may have decided that the EF-M mount is a dead end to be replaced before long, but even then I expect there’s a lot of life ahead of this camera for me personally.
