- If you’re looking for an unprofessional digital camera that won’t run your bank, easy to keep in your purse and pocket, and has that vintage sort of look, get this! It has a sort of grainy, yellowish tint for default settings, shows the date and time on the bottom of the photos, and multiple settings i have yet to mess around with. It’s so cute.Bonus points it has the cutest sound effects ever (you can turn them off too)It does seem a bit light and frail, so expect to still treat it like it’s a $200 camera
- I wanted an inexpensive snapshot camera for my wife, the technophobe. This Vmotal unit will probably do the job but it is definitely only good for casual snapshots. The camera is labeled \"12 Megapixels\" Maybe, but even with everything set to the highest resolution looks like 10 of those 12 megapixels got lost in the process. Files are JPG format and show a lot of compression artifacts, probably because of processor speed limitations. Using auto-exposure, highlights are blown out unless the scene has a very low dynamic range. Auto-focus isn\'t a problem because I don\'t think it has any, just the old Kodak Brownie style fixed-focus lens. Sensitivity seems low and normal indoor lighting seems to be barely adequate, with long exposure time requiring a very steady hand to minimize motion blur (I\'m still playing with settings, but the \"anti-shake\" setting doesn\'t seem to help at all). Overall, best results seem to be using highest detail settings all around coupled with manually setting ISO to 400, the highest setting.I\'m not saying you shouldn\'t consider buying this camera, just be very aware it isn\'t anywhere as good as, for example, your iPhone\'s camera, and if left with all settings at default the results on many scenes won\'t be too great. On the other hand, if it gets lost or dropped in the lake, it won\'t hurt like losing the iPhone, or a Canon camera.
- OK for the money. Menus are a little confusing and the battery charge duration is a little short.
- So far the camera looks fine, it is very light weight, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. That said, this camera does not come with any on board memory, it need a separate memory card to work (the camera can use up to 32GB SD card and they recommend it be a class 10). So this is not out of the box ready, and it isn\'t clear that you have to buy a separate SD card to use it.
