  • This is such a neat little camera, there is a fun design to the front, the screen is a nice size for being able to see easily, and the navigation is not too challenging. I was surprised at how many options there were so many features on a camera, there are games available to play and even an included memory card, so I wasn\'t needing to go through and try to back up the pictures right away. The quality of the photos is decent, though my son is still a bit young to become a pro, he really loves being able to take photos and show them off. There are different modes the pictures can go in, so he changes them from color to black and white to \"give it a little class.\"The style is made for a younger child, but this is something my teenagers were loving as well. There are so many ways to have fun with this, I was always seeing one of the older kids looking over his shoulder and grabbing it as soon as it was left behind. This really shocked me because they were assuming this was a little kid\'s toy. The camera has child-like colors and the size makes it easier to be held with little hands. This is not something I would really limit to the younger ones though, this can easily work for an older preteen or even a teen if the shell was a little different.I do love the fun style, but since this is something for a child, I would have preferred a casing around this that would have some rubber bumpers to keep the camera from getting damaged when it is dropped. There is a nice lanyard that helps, but he won\'t wear that each time he goes to use this. This is a really smart addition because this would really help to prevent it from being dropped and really add to the life span of this camera life span. The biggest part that really shocked me was the number of features that are available, so many little sticker frames to make it special. The biggest concern that I have is how much memory is still going to be available after all of the additions for the actual photos. There are so many extras, and there is going to be some space taken up for the interface itself, so there is going to be limited room for the photos, and the videos will take up more space as well. I am so grateful for the larger memory card being included, but I am thinking there would be a need to get a larger one before long. The other concern that I have is the navigation, there are so many options to choose from, and the buttons are multi-function so there are going to be confusing to get to the feature that you\'re wanting. My son was asking me how to get it to take a selfie, I was stumped. Then we were wanting to get to the different photos that he already took. I am so glad that there are all of these options, but this was a little harder than I thought it would be for me. That being said, children, these days are born with the ability to troubleshoot cell phones and program game consoles, so who knows?Overall, I am really impressed with this, the features make this something that can keep the kids engaged for hours, not just a few minutes then they get bored.
  • This camera is super cute just to look at - a little pink kitten - makes it easy not to get it mixed up with other people\'s cameras. It has a lot of functionality. I really like the various frames and I like that you can select the Picture Mode of B/W and Sepia - and even more impressive is that you can combine those selections with the frames.Pretty easy to use for older children - younger ones will need some help navigating. My 6 yo Granddaughter doesn\'t need much help, but my 4 yo Grandson asks me to help him get it back to camera or to playback. I think even he will have it memorized shortly though.Suggestion: For as long as you possibly can, try to not let the children know that there\'s an SD Card and certainly don\'t show them how to remove it. Eventually, they\'ll probably figure it out anyway - but the SD cards are super small and easily lost. You will need a mini SD Card reader to upload your photos to your laptop. The USB Charging Cord is included but the Reader is not.I think the placement of the photo lens on this camera is unfortunate. How one would naturally hold the camera to take a photo, places your finger directly over the front lens.It\'s difficult to thread the lanyard under the little bar - I had to make the thread as stiff as possible and push it under as far as I could and then grab it with a straight pin to pull it out the other side. I would suggest putting the lanyard on as soon as child receives the camera to avoid dropping it and/or losing it.To me - it\'s amazing that for under $20 such a nice little camera can be owned. Certainly compared to other \'toys\' - it\'s a great value!
  • Sturdy and very cute cat kid cam...large control buttons...loaded with options and features. The cam takes both pictures and videos and includes three games to play as well. The included USB cable has micro plugs on both ends and two adapters are included - micro to type A and micro to type C plugs. It comes with a 32GB TF SD card and a carry strap.SAFETY NOTE: The TF SD card is very small and if exploring little fingers cause it to be ejected, it can be easily lost, damaged or become a choking hazard. The USB adapters are also very small and should not be made available to small children. The interior room and outdoor pictures attached to this review were taken with the kid cam. The camera has automatic exposure and focus but I found that the dimmer the light, the fuzzier the picture. The outdoor pictures were taken on a cloudy day. There are several levels of ZOOM that can be selected in the settings as well as special effects. The cam can also take time-lapse and continuous snapshots.MYSTERIOUS \"M\" KEY: In picture or video taking mode, long press to switch from the forward camera to the rear camera for \"selfies\". Long press M to return to the forward camera. The M key has other action functions while changing settings. The control buttons have embossed function icons on them which could be improved with some painted contrast to make them easier to read. There is some confusion in the included pamphlet related to the controls such as reference to the \"switch\" button but no such button is on the cam diagram. Also, in some modes the \"return\" button does not return, instead the \"M\" button does a return or back action. The pamphlet does not cover transferring images to a laptop. Procedure: Plug in the USB cable to the cam and PC and turn on the camera (long press on the power button) and it will automatically go into transfer mode - use the PC folder browser to transfer the images. The first time I did this, the cam locked up after the files were transferred and I had to do a \"reset\" with a paper clip into the hole under the SD card. Then it demanded that I \"format\" the TF SD card before I could use it. The second time I transferred images there were no problems.I would expect kids to self-teach how to use this cam by experimenting with the buttons. Some training by an adult should be enough to get them started. As an adult who reads instructions and expects function button consistency - one settings/menu control not three access methods - one return control not two depending on what you are doing - etc. The controls could have been better simplified and organized.NOTE: One button controls Snapshot/Playback/Selection OK depending on the features/functions you are accessing - sometimes when you use it as OK a selection, it also takes a picture.BATTERY SAVING: You can set the cam to auto-turn off after a few minutes or no auto-turn off. The power button can be used to blank the screen (battery saver) with a short press - a small red light shows that the cam is still \"ON\". Short press to return to active status. Long press to turn it off completely - it will show a \"goodbye\" flash.SAFETY NOTE: The pamphlet clearly states that use of the USB cable to recharge the cam should be done by an adult.CONCLUSION: The kid cam can provide a lot of fun to a youngster - pre-cellphone age - and some guidance from an adult is needed to get them started. The quality of the images is moderate to good depending on the available light and perfectly fine for lots of kid fun.
